Annually, Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina honors partners in numerous categories who work tirelessly on our behalf to help end hunger in our communities. Normally award winners are recognized at a luncheon, but this year, the Food Bank is recognizing partners virtually.
Every year the Food Bank showcases partners in each category of Food Bank operations. This year, we focused recognition on individuals, businesses, and foundations that supported Second Harvest through the most challenging year in their 40-year history - COVID-19.
"There are truly no words to describe the challenges we faced this past year," commented Kay Carter, CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. "With requests for assistance skyrocketing and needs at the highest level ever, we could not have met those needs without our food donors, financial donors, and volunteers. For each partner recognized, there were hundreds of others who also provided support and we remain forever grateful."
